Aim: Explore the changes in media on the topic of FGM before and after the pandemic
Where: the official media (BBC) and the We media (Youtube)
When: Three years, 2019, 2020 and 2021, were selected for comparison
How: Web scraper
Categories of the Data Collected:
- The level of attention: Number of posts on BBC and Youtube.
- What to focus: Titles on BBC and YOUTUBE.
- People’s Subjective Opinion on FGM: Reviews/Comments on Youtube videos (Selected the most viewed videos per year for scraping).
- A windfall: a new way to communicate - live Streaming.
